Meet the Artist

I’m Diane, the artist behind Love Story Live Painting. I’ve lived in Central Texas my whole life, and I love the South — the romance, the warmth, and a good love story. I’m a romantic at heart, which is why wedding painting feels so natural to me.

When I’m not painting at a wedding, you’ll usually find me in my home studio, creating new work at a slower pace. I spend my time painting, sketching, and occasionally teaching, enjoying the quiet contrast to the energy of wedding days. That balance is an important part of how I work and how I stay connected to the art itself.

I create live wedding paintings and watercolor guest portraits that turn fleeting moments into lasting keepsakes — artworks that reflect not just how a wedding looked, but how it felt to be there.

Being present for a wedding day is a privilege. I approach each event with care, attentiveness, and respect for the couple and the significance of the moment they are celebrating.

My work is rooted in observation. I paint on site, paying attention to the space, the light, and what’s actually happening around me. Weddings move quickly, and my role is to slow down just enough to notice what matters. My goal is to create a lasting heirloom — a painting that feels honest, personal, and true to their wedding day.

MY MANIFESTO

 What matters is rarely staged

I believe weddings are deeply personal, fleeting, and imperfect in the best way. The moments that matter most are often quiet — a glance, a pause, the way the light falls when no one is paying attention.

My work isn’t about recreating a photograph or staging a scene. It’s about paying attention, being present, and honoring what actually unfolds. I approach each painting with care, respect, and the responsibility of preserving something meaningful.

Above all, I believe a wedding painting should feel honest — not just beautiful, but true.
