the Live Wedding Painting Experience

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and what better way to capture that special moment than with a treasured piece of fine art that will last for generations.

Your wedding painting is created live during your wedding day, capturing a meaningful moment as it naturally unfolds.

Rather than recreating a posed photograph, the painting reflects the atmosphere of the celebration - the light, the setting, and the people who share the moment with you. Guests may observe the artwork in progress, but the focus always remains on the experience itself, not on performance.

After the wedding, the painting is carefully refined in the studio, preserving the energy of the day while bringing the piece to completion. The result is a finished work of fine art, created with the intention of becoming a lasting part of your home and your story.

Before the Wedding

thoughtful planning sets the foundation

Before your wedding day, we begin with a confirmed availability check, followed by an introductory consultation by phone or email. During this conversation, we discuss your vision, the setting, the event timeline, and the specific moment you would like painted. Composition, lighting, and overall atmosphere are thoughtfully considered in advance so the painting feels intentional and cohesive from the first brushstroke.

Following our consultation, I create a custom proposal tailored to your event. Once a proposal is selected, a signed contract and a 50% retainer are required to reserve your date on my calendar. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding date.

On the wedding day, I arrive two to three hours early to set up and begin building the environment of the painting - architecture, landscape, florals, and atmosphere - before the celebration starts. This preparation allows the artwork to unfold naturally during the event, without disruption or distraction, so your focus remains fully on the experience itself.

During the Wedding

active observation and live execution

When it’s time for your chosen moment, I work with intention and discretion, often positioning myself alongside the photographer to capture the same key perspective we planned for. I’m actively observing, collecting reference, adjusting for changing light, and making real-time artistic decisions as the moment unfolds.

If your ceremony and reception take place in different locations, I plan for that transition in advance. In some cases, the background is bugun at the reception site, followed by travel to capture the ceremony moment, and a return to continue painting. If a full relocation is required, I’m prepared to pack up, transport, and re-locate efficiently - so the celebration remains seamless while the artwork continues to develop.

Throughout the event, my setup is designed to remain unobtrusive and respectful of the day. Guests are welcome to observe the painting in progress, but the focus always remains on the wedding itself- not on performance or interruption.

after the wedding

refinement, completion, and preservation

After the wedding, the painting is taken to the studio for careful refinement. Using traditional oil painting techniques, I deepen color, adjust balance, and build subtle layers and glazes that bring richness, depth, and cohesion to the piece - while preserving the spontaneity and emotion of the original moment.

Details, edges, and color adjustments are thoughtfully resolved, allowing the painting to move beyond documentation and become a finished work of fine art.

Once complete, the painting is prepared for delivery as a lasting heirloom, created with the intention of living in your home and carrying the memory of your wedding forward for years to come.

is an heirloom wedding painting right for You?

An heirloom wedding painting is a beautiful fit for couples who value meaning, artistry, and being present in the moment. It is an intentional addition to the day, created for those who want a lasting work of art that reflects the feeling and story of their celebration.

This experience is especially meaningful for couples who appreciate fine art and love the idea of turning their wedding into something they can live with and enjoy long after the day has passed. The focus is on creating something enduring — a painting that holds both emotional and artistic value that can be cherished for generations.

Live wedding painting requires experience, technical skill, and the ability to make confident artistic decisions in a constantly changing environment. The result is an original artwork shaped by the energy, movement, and emotion of the day.
